Pediatric Surgery is a branch of surgery that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of surgical and urological problems in children from birth to 16 years of age.
It deals with all digestive and respiratory systems, pediatric gynecology, chest, head and neck, oncology, trauma and endocrine surgery in addition to cardiac. Pediatric surgery, which includes laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgical interventions as well as diagnostic and interventional endoscopic applications, is the branch in which anomalies known before birth or occurring after birth are surgically removed. Unlike normal surgery, this department specializes in paediatrics, working with many departments such as the neonatal unit, intensive care, oncology and trauma.
